A medical emergency outside of Canada could cost you a bundle.

Living in Canada, you probably have no idea what your costs could be in a medical emergency, but trust us, it’s a lot. Like, a lot.

Here's what our travel insurance covers:

Emergency Medical

Emergency Medical

All of our packages include Emergency Medical Insurance with a limit of $10,000,000. This will help you with unexpected costs due to an accident or injury that requires medical attention or hospitalization. If you travel to another country and are seriously injured, you’ll be relieved you have this coverage for the length of your vacation, up to six months.

Return of the Deceased

Return of the Deceased

Hopefully, you will never need to use this coverage. But if you do, your family would be granted up to $15,000 to transport your remains back to Canada. This coverage can also be used for a cremation at place of death, with a $4,000 limit.

Emergency Transportation

Emergency Transportation

Need an ambulance? Worry about getting to the hospital, not your bill when you get there. You will have coverage for transportation the nearest appropriate medical facility to treat your injuries. This would also cover your return to a Canadian hospital if necessary.

Transportation of Family or Friend

Transportation of Family or Friend

If you are hospitalized due to a covered sickness or injury and the attending physician advises that a family member or close friend be with you, you’ll be covered for up to $3,000 for the transportation of up to two bedside companions. This would also cover travel for a friend or family member if the local authorities legally require someone to identify your remains.

Accidental Dental

Accidental Dental

You’ll have up to $4,000 in coverage for emergency dental treatment and services. So if you go face-first into the hard pool concrete, your pearly whites will be good as new in no time.

Pet Return

Pet Return

Don’t leave Mittens behind! If you are in an emergency and have to return to Canada under the Emergency Transportation benefit, or if you are hospitalized due to a covered sickness or injury, you will be reimbursed up to $500 for the cost of returning your accompanying dog or cat to Canada.

Don't be that friend of a friend who got injured in Mexico and didn't have travel insurance.

We’ve all heard the stories. So we encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others and protect yourself against the bad things that could happen on vacation. Oh, and you probably shouldn’t drink the water.
